As has been mentioned, the UEFA European Championship Scotland Bill will enable a fantastic sporting event to come to Scotland. To celebrate the tournament’s 60th birthday, 12 cities across Europe have been chosen to host the Euro 2020 championships. I speak on behalf of Conservative members when I say that I am absolutely delighted that Glasgow was selected. Glasgow will be able to take advantage of the opportunities that will come from fans visiting it and the surrounding area, which will bring in more tourism and contribute to the local economy. However, Scotland's determination to get a result out of this match is what makes football unpredictable and exciting. This being said, Steve Clarke knows that he has an uphill battle at hand with his side facing Croatia next. Anything less than a win would not try here send Scotland to the last-16.
